Twicurious.

Day 38

So, I had to be appropriately twi-dorked out last night for the New Moon midnight showing... yes, yes, I know.... so I screen printed shirts for my roommate and myself:

They're printed with silver sparkly ink. Very teeny bopper, I know. :-P

Anyway, on to the twilight nails, each nail is a different book cover from the series...

Index finger: twilight

Used: Zoya Raven as a base, China Glaze White on White with Zoya Charlize on top for the skin color, with Zoya Gretchen and Zoya Angelina for shading on the skin. For the apple, I used China Glaze Salsa and then mixed some Zoya Raven for shading.

Middle finger: new moon

Used: Zoya Raven as a base, with China Glaze White on White for the flower, with China Glaze Salsa on top for the veining in the flower, and then Zoya Envy for the stem.

Ring finger: eclipse

Used: Zoya Raven as a base, with China Glaze Salsa over China Glaze White on White so it would show up, and then mixed with Zoya Raven for shading.

Pinky finger: breaking dawn

Used: Zoya Raven as a base, with China Glaze White on White for the tile and the chess piece, China Glaze Salsa for the pawn in the background, and Zoya Raven for shading.

Thumb: heart. no book :)

Used: Zoya Raven as a base with China Glaze White on White and China Glaze Salsa for the design.

Are you twicurious?

  1. geekologie.com's fascination with bacon caused him to post your bacon blog on his site. that's how i ended up here a couple weeks ago and you've had me hooked ever since! i just recently kicked a 11-year nail-biting addiction and though my nails are still recovering, the cuticles are healthy and with a bit of polish, you'd never have known how bad my habit was. you've inspired me to try out some new things...i'll probably start with the water marbling. thanks for the great read!

  5. Nothing wrong with liking it more than your gf. If it wasn't for the gf it might have been a great way to meet one :P I got to see the midnight screening on the Thursday to beat all you silly Americans and it was insane. Apparently alot of people are on Team Jasper or Team Carlisle instead. You have way too much free time to do your nails like this! And way too much skill!

  13. Daily Nail,

FIRST, I never implied those nail designs were my personally designs (as I am regrouping and replacing art photos---I didn't have my new ones to share--as I gave an example identical to my style), that was clearly your fanbase that put those assumptions out there....read MY comment again. . Believe that as you will. Furthermore, I understand perfectly after all YOU are an "artist" and I DID ruin the fantasy ride for you. Forgive me dear. I'm just a realist and perfectionist. This will be my last time addressing you and your team likewise. Good day ***smile***

  22. Hi!

I love this idea: I think it is a fabulous expression of yourself...Would love to be able something similar with my long nails, but my fingernails really don't react well with nail polish/nail polish remover...I can wear it, but it tends to weaken them.

Love this design...so clever and creative! :-) Keep on going with it: I think it is great!
