Pinchers of (non)Pareil(s)!!!

Day 47

Hhahahaha Goonies Quote FTW. One of the best movies of all time. Anyway, to the nails. Today's nails were an idea emailed to me by reader Lauren, who was inspired after seeing my sugar-coated nails. I totally LOVED the idea- Chocolate covered nails 'dipped' in non-pareils to make a french tip of sorts. Plus, it is simple, so anyone could do this idea, I really love it.

I used Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme as a base, and for the non-pareils, I used Migi Nail Art Pens. Hmm, I wonder if I could've just used real non-pareils, and simply covered them with Seche Vite top coat. Interesting. I might try that and get back to you.

Anyway, Thanks Lauren, hope you like them!! :)

  11. What a fabulous idea!! I actually thought you used real nonpareils at first (and I agree - you should totally try that!). Really cute design - would be fun for a dessert party or such. Thanks for sharing!

  17. This is a fun site. But please, take one of your days to visit a proper manicurist. Your cuticles are seriously hurting and need help.

  20. omg, your cuticles, honey. You're gonna get an infection if you keep em all raggedy like that! Your nail art is lovely but... yeah, omg. They kind of ruin the effect! yikes!

  21. to anonymous - :)about those cuticles - From previous posts it sounds like she is into many crafts - screen printing (hence the black ink), culinary classes (gotta love those dishpan hands)- and the daily nail (removing polish daily has got to be hard on them)plus a full time job - it would be nice if you could give her some suggestions...meahwhile - keep up the daily changes - I love love love them.

  22. Thanks everyone!

Anonymous that came to my defense, thank you.

I appreciate the concern for my cuticles, but I'm doing everything I can to make them better, oils, balms, creams, lotions, etc. I am a VERY active person, and do a lot of things that aren't so nice to my hands, such as what was stated above, screen printing, culinary, polish remover, as well as other things that aren't cuticle friendly. My cuticles have been this way my entire life, seemingly no matter what I do. (even going to a 'proper manicurist' did nothing) If anyone has a miracle solution, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear it, because I feel like I've tried everything. I wear gloves and lotion to bed at night, put on balms during the day, etc, nothing helps. I have QTICA's cuticle balm coming in the mail today, and I hear that it has miraculous properties, so I'm crossing my fingers.
