Nothing to Disclose
What do Dragons even eat?
Whatever they want.
OH MAN. I am LOVING sassy Daenarys this season! She is killing me with these comebacks, and hopefully she'll soon be killing the Night King with a blade of Dragon Glass. (or at least someone from her armies will!)
I'll admit, I am a relative newcomer to Game of Thrones, but it doesn't make me any less obsessed with it! I binged the first 7 seasons a little over a year ago, and once I got past the first few episodes, I was 100% hooked! Best part of the entire series so far? Sansa growing a pair and feeding Ramsey to his dogs. That was 10000000% more satisfying than Joffrey's death and Cersei's walk of shame combined.
When I heard that one of my favorite makeup brands was collaborating with HBO to create a GoT collection, my heart started beating so fast, and OMG can I tell you the anxiety I had over the possibility of missing out on it! I decided to just go for it, and get the entire GoT vault, which contains a 20-shade eyeshadow palette, a 3-shade highlighter palette, 4 pencil eyeliners, 4 lipsticks, a cheek & lip stain, and last but not least, 2 brushes inspired by the swords of Jon Snow & Arya Stark. Read on for my swatches and thoughts!
White Walker - from bottom: Take the Black, White Walker, Frozen North, Free Folk, Hardhome
House Stark - From bottom: Nymeria, Winter is Here, Eirwood Leaves, The Sight, Winterfell
I feel like despite my deep hatred for Cersei, I love the colors from the House Lannister section the most - they're perfect for my gingery coloring, and SO pretty. Bend the Knee from House Targaryen is also SUPER gorgeous.
Game of Thrones - Mother of Dragons Highlighter palette
I truly wanted this mostly for the packaging, and that dragon egg emboss? OMG. The three shades, at first glance, don't really look like they'll play well with my pasty white walker skin, but I've discovered that Rhaegal makes a GORGEOUS blush, and I'm kind of obsessed! I probably won't wear these shades as a highlighter, since they ARE too dark for me, but they'll make great shades to use in other places. In a word, they're GORGEOUS.
From bottom: Dragon, Viserion, Rhaegal
Game of Thrones - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils
When I swatched the first color of these on my arm, I was shocked by how pigmented and smooth they were - I'll be honest, I've never been much of a pencil liner person, but if the rest of the UD liners are like this, I'm sorry I've been missing out for so long! While all four pencils are GORGEOUS, I'm particularly obsessed with Lannister Gold... again. Damn those Lannisters! Well, mostly damn Cersei, I rather like Tyrion, and Jaime is turning out to be a pretty decent guy, too.
From Bottom: Lannister Gold, Dragon Smoke, The Night King, Winterfell Snow.
Seriously? These are gorgeous. Lannister Gold is kind of a mix of gold and silver, so it comes across as more of a champagne metallic, which I'm not mad about. Dragon Smoke is a deep black with sparks of purple and blue, The Night King is a deep metallic teal, and Winterfell Snow is filled with icy iridescent glitter.
Game of Thrones - Vice Lipstick
A gorgeous peachy nude that is pretty much MADE for us gingers, and the deepest berry shade that is sure to be a personal favorite are just two of the 4 limited-edition colors of UD's creamy, pigmented Vice lipstick. I'll be honest, I was worried that Sansa Stark was going to be too light for my skin tone, but as soon as I put it on, my fears were assuaged. It's pretty much perfect, and it's going to be in heavy rotation. I find it difficult to find a pretty nude that works with my skin tone, and this is definitely one. Each lipstick has a design representing the house that inspired it, which will make it easy to grab which one you want quickly, but lets be honest, I love it because I'm a sucker for packaging.
From bottom: Cersei Lannister (a warm bronze metallic), Sansa Stark (creamy peachy nude), Daenarys Targaryen (vivid red), and White Walker (deep berry wine).
Game of Thrones Lip & Cheek Stain
OK, I'll be honest. I feel like Urban Decay missed an opportunity here. I mean, Dracarys is a cool name, but wouldn't Dragon's Blood be far more fitting? That aside, I've only worn this as a lip stain so far, but it builds really well, and is a gorgeous shade. It reminds me of DuWop Lip Venom, but without the pesky stinging/plumping, which I wasn't a fan of. It's easy to use, just add a drop or two to a fingertip and blend into your cheek or apply to lips. Awesome for a multi-use product on the go!
Shown: a few drops of Dracarys unblended, and one layer of Dracarys blended.
Now, on to the brushes! Upon opening the vault, I immediately grabbed the brushes, and challenged Chris to a sword fight - I even offered Long Claw (Jon's sword), but he declined. Where's his sense of fun?! Oh well, I did my own match of sword-fighting before I moved on to checking out the rest of the collection.
Arya Stark's 'Needle' is a small, flat brush great for depositing color and for getting a precise placement of color where needed and Jon Snow's Long Claw is a large shadow brush best for depositing and blending shadows. I love how they replicated the swords in such detail, even down to the dire wolf on the pommel of Long Claw - I wonder if the ferrule is made of Valyrian steel?! While I'll definitely be using these for application, they will also be very likely used to sword fight when the occasion arises. I'm only human, you know?
Here's a look that I did using Casterly Rock, Nymeria, House Lannister, Red Keep, and Bend the Knee in the inner corner of the eye. Rhaegal is on my cheeks as a blush, and I'm wearing Sansa Stark Vice lipstick. :)
My top picks? The eyeshadow palette, the liners, and definitely Sansa Stark Vice lipstick if you're a pale ginger like me! If you're a fan of novelty brushes, I also recommend grabbing Needle and Long Claw–unlike other novelty brushes I've owned, they're not heavy and unwieldy, and they still do the job they're intended for.
Did you stay up til midnight (or for you East-coasters, 3 a.m.) to snag what you couldn't live without from this collection? It sold out SO fast, and I'm glad I stayed up past my old lady bedtime of 10ish. If you weren't able to get anything, are you planning to grab it when it's back in stock? You'll be able to purchases it online from ULTA and Sephora 4/29, and in store starting 5/2.
Tell me in the comments below what you snagged already or what's on your wishlist!

Game of Thrones eyeshadow palette
This palette is one of my favorite things from the collection - there are 20 shades (3 matte, 17 shimmer/metallic), which are split into 4 themes; White Walkers, House Stark, House Lannister, and House Targaryen. Each house has 4 colors and a transformer shade. I was super impressed with the pigmentation of most of the shades when I swatched them, but there were a few (mostly the more iridescent/shimmery shades from the White Walker section of the palette) that were a little lackluster in their performance.
Check out the swatches from the White Walker and 3 Houses below:
White Walker - from bottom: Take the Black, White Walker, Frozen North, Free Folk, Hardhome
House Stark - From bottom: Nymeria, Winter is Here, Eirwood Leaves, The Sight, Winterfell
House Lannister - From bottom: Red Keep, Casterly Rock, House Lannister, Lannister Red, King's Landing
House Targaryen - From bottom: Stormborn, House Targaryen, Dothraki, Bend the Knee, Bay of Dragons
I feel like despite my deep hatred for Cersei, I love the colors from the House Lannister section the most - they're perfect for my gingery coloring, and SO pretty. Bend the Knee from House Targaryen is also SUPER gorgeous.
