Zoya Luscious collection hero

Fall is here! FINALLY! Sure, it's definitely not fall yet here in Las Vegas, but I hear the rest of the country is getting to enjoy the loveliness of my favorite season! Apple cider, cinnamon, chai lattes, pumpkins, I freaking love it all (except PSLs from Starbucks, I just don't get the hype over those...) Today I have swatches of the fall collection from Zoya nail polish for you. Read on for more info!

10 Years of The Daily Nail - 10 Days of Giveaways - Day 1 - ZOYA TWINKLING COLLECTION

Nothing to Disclose

HO-LY CRAP!

It's crazy to think that 10 years (and one day) ago, I started The Daily Nail as a way to justify a splurge of 71 bottles of nail polish in a single month, and help 'cure' my procrastination tendencies. Well, one of those things worked, and it wasn't the procrastination.

Starting today, I have TEN days of giveaways for you to thank you for sticking with me through times of bacon nails, of no nails, of thick and thin, from Vegas to India to Michigan and back. From nail art exclusively to fashion and food and beauty. I'm extremely thankful to all of you that have been here for the whole shebang and for those that have joined me along the way - I'm even thankful for those of you that are new to The Daily Nail - WELCOME!

Today's giveaway is from the brand that reignited my love of nail polish and was a catalyst for starting TDN a those years ago. Thanks to a promotion that they were doing, I acquired several new polishes, and thus began The Daily Nail, my 365-day journey into madness. :D

I like my slightly weird and not normal nail art. You guys know this. I've had this idea rollin around in my brain for a bit, and figured it was about time I tried it. I have other similar ideas for an unofficial series, but you'll have to wait... hopefully refreshing the page eagerly. I miss you guys. I know I suck, and life gets in the way of me posting regularly lately. I try to consistently post on IG, but I'm going to make an extra effort to do so here as well.

Also, plan to see more beauty world and fashion posts, because those are things I'm super passionate about too! (especially shoes- drooooool)

Anyway, hopefully this mani plants the (sesame) seeds of a blog coming back to life and growing into what it was before, and much, much more. I miss my interactions with you guys... ReaderRita, Lainie, and you... yeah you....you still there? I sure hope so...if not, come back, I miss ya! (tell your friends!)

I used:

NARS Pierre Hardy Easy Walking (Right)
Zoya Tatum

ZOYA Urban Grunge Cremes – Swatches & Review

Cremes. Glorious, smooth, pigmented creamy cremes. Cremes will always be my favorite finish. Sure, I love a great holo, and a smooth, densely packed glitter will definitely catch my eye, but I ALWAYS love a great creme, and Zoya definitely knows cremes. I feel like cremes are where Zoya really shines, they put out some of the best cremes I have, and this collection of mostly 1-coaters is no different! Check out my swatches and review after the jump!

Dear Zoya,

I love this collection.

Sincerely,
Melissa

This collection is probably one of my absolute favorites from Zoya in a while! I love love love the bright cremes! Jace, Cecelia, and Talia belong together...they make a perfect trio. I think they're my favorites of this collection, but Serenity runs a close second to them, and I also love Demetria and Nana! It's rare that I love a whole collection, but I feel like all of these are extremely wearable! :)

The other day a great thing happened–I had a package on my doorstep! I mean everyone loves mail, but this wasn't just ANY mail, this was the new Zoya Summer 2015 collection! I barely got in the door before it was ripped open. The dogs were staring at me like I was a crazy person (I am), but I didn't care, I needed to see them! I have to say, I was not disappointed–I think that this is honestly one of my favorite collections from Zoya in a long time. I immediately swatched them on a nail wheel, and fell in love with Jace, Cecelia, and Talia especially. They complement each other extremely well, and eventually I want to do some nail art with them, but for today, I used Jace, Cecelia, and Nana! (Fun fact: my nickname at my old job in Michigan is Nana. It started out as Grandma, but evolved/shortened into Nana and stuck!)

I used:

Green: Zoya Jace
Teal: Zoya Cecelia
Pink: Zoya Nana

Topcoat: KB Shimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat

Zoya Delight Spring 2015 Swatches & Review

Zoya Delight Collection

When I was younger, my favorite part of Easter (aside from dyeing eggs) was eating the royal icing eyeball off my chocolate bunny, then following with the ears, naturally. As I've grown older, my taste buds yearn for the deliciousness off Cadbury Mini Eggs. They're SO. DAMN. GOOD! I'm not a jellybean girl, though. I mean, I love sugar, but there is something about the sickeningly sweet jelly consistency that I just can't get behind. Bleck! The latest collection from Zoya evokes memories of spring and Easters past. They make me think of dyed eggs in bright green cellophane grass and, for some reason... daffodils. Those are like the universal flower of spring, right? Hit the jump for the photos and review! :)

Throwback Thursday: Zoya Cashmere Swatches & Review

Don't you hate it when you're on your computer, looking through files, and you discover that you never posted those swatches that you did literally MONTHS ago? Awesome, right? I feel like a big ol' dummy. I looked at the date, and these photos were taken in August. Yeah, that month at the end of summer that was, hmmm, let's count...over 7 months ago. Really. The sad part? I LOVED this collection, so I'm not sure how I could have missed posting it!!

Anyway, better late than never right?

ZOYA Magical Pixie Dust Swatches & Review

Press Sample

If I had to guess what kind of nail polish Disney princesses and fairies wore, the Zoya Magical Pixie Dust collection would most definitely be it. I'm not sure the polish fairies at Zoya Headquarters could have packed any more glittery goodness in these three polishes! I really like the mixture of texture, holographic hexagonal glitter, and smaller holographic and regular glitter. It's kinda like a stripper exploded on my nails, but you know, in a good way.

It's a pretty collection that I feel will look great on a number of skin tones and with all different styles. Application on every one of these was a dream, not a streak in sight, and these were all creamy and pigmented!

Who doesn't love a way to make a manicure look a little more rich in a little amount of time? Love the look of nail art, but want something a little easier? Sounds like Zoya has you covered with their new Gilty Pleasures velvet gift box set, which features Zoya Gilty, a limited-edition 18K Real Gold Flake topcoat, Zoya Raven, a great jet black, and Zoya Purity, a lovely white.

Zoya Beach Swatches & Review

This post is REALLY late. I know. I'm trying to get back up-to-date with blog posts after my unscheduled hiatus. This collection took a little longer to get to me, since it had to sit and wait for Chris to go to Vegas an come back. It flew over 12,000 miles (and man, are its arms tired!) to get to me, and then it sat. However, because Zoya was gracious enough to provide it to me for review, and because it, like most of Zoya stuff, is great, I'm reviewing it now. Better late than never, right? I actually swatched and photographed both Beach & Surf 3 times (on different days/weeks!) before I was satisfied with these pictures!

In all photos, the index finger is painted with only 1 coat to show the true opacity of the polish!

More after the jump!

I Feel So Desert-ed.

Hey everyone!! Today's nails are an homage to the seemingly endless span of desert that surrounds the lovely city of sin, booze, hookers, and gluttony that I reside in. :-P No, those aren't bats, they're vultures- the Hunter S. Thompson/Fear and Loathing/Steadman nails are to come in the near future I think. :-D

I used Zoya Yummy as a base, with American Apparel Palm Springs for the desert, then mixed with Zoya Dea to shade. For the cacti, I used L.A. Girl Army Green, that I got at Urban Outfitters, Pure Ice Wild Thing to highlight, and Nubar Forest
for shadow. For the vultures, I used Zoya Raven. Topped everything off with Seche Vite top coat so it'd dry superfast, then topped off the sand portion with Essie Matte About You. :)

Note: No bodies are buried in the desert pictured, unlike the desert surrounding Vegas. ;)
