Girlish Flourish

 Press Sample

Despite all the crazy colors I love to wear, I find that I'm ALWAYS drawn to great neutrals. Needless to say, when the new Morgan Taylor Enchantment Fall 2014 collection showed up, I was SUPER excited!! It consists of 4 neutral-ish and 2 glitter shades. For today's manicure, I did an uncharacteristically feminine design using two of the shades from the collection, Simply Spellbound and Magician's Assistant. I absolutely ADORE the subtle shimmer found in Magician's Assistant. It's, dare I say, MAGIC?!

At first glance, this manicure is a subtly feminine design, and, if I'm being honest, it is at second and third glance, too. However, it just has something when you see it in person that makes you keep looking back to it- that must be the 'magic' that they refer to in the polish name...and it is definitely enchanting! You can see the glowy shimmer in the picture above in the bottle (in person you see it on the nail!). I'm generally not one for soft feminine colors, but I think this is my favorite of the collection! (Swatches to come!)

For this manicure I used:

Morgan Taylor Need for Speed Top Coat
Morgan Taylor Simply Spellbound
Morgan Taylor Magician's Assistant
Morgan Taylor Stick With It Base Coat

Morgan Taylor products are available at loxabeauty.com for $8.50 per bottle.

This Isn't Real…

Nothing to Disclose

Two words— Theo. James. Not the only reason to go see Divergent, but definitely the most aesthetically pleasing one. :-D Yum. I'm not ashamed, I totally went and saw this the first night it was in theaters, and even painted my friend Nikki's nails in the theater with the Divergent nail polish set from Sephora. The movie isn't one of award-winning cinema, but it's fairly decent for what it is. Decent enough that I went to see it a second time, though that was probably due more to the extremely handsome male lead than the plot line. I did this nail art for the second viewing of the movie, it's the bird tattoo that Tris gets on her collarbone.

This Isn't Real nail art, divergent, birds, Tris

I used:

Nude: Deborah Lippmann Naked
Black: American Apparel Hassid

Basecoat: Formula X basecoat
Topcoat: Seche Vite topcoat

Have you seen the Divergent movie? What did you think? And let's talk Theo James (aka Four)...I'd love to read your thoughts in the comments below! :D
