This post is REALLY late. I know. I'm trying to get back up-to-date with blog posts after my unscheduled hiatus. This collection took a little longer to get to me, since it had to sit and wait for Chris to go to Vegas an come back. It flew over 12,000 miles (and man, are its arms tired!) to get to me, and then it sat. However, because Zoya was gracious enough to provide it to me for review, and because it, like most of Zoya stuff, is great, I'm reviewing it now. Better late than never, right? I actually swatched and photographed both Beach & Surf 3 times (on different days/weeks!) before I was satisfied with these pictures!
In all photos, the index finger is painted with only 1 coat to show the true opacity of the polish!
More after the jump!
Because Reagan and Areej were so close, I decided to do a half-and-half nail, with Reagan on the left half, and Areej on the right half. A VERY slight difference.
Medium fuchsia creme
When I first applied this, I felt like I had seen it before... but where? After thinking a few minutes, I realized that it was VERY similar to Areej from the Summertime collection. The difference was hard to photograph, but Reagan is just a tiny bit darker with slightly more blue in it.
Opacity scale (1-5): 3.5
Finish: Creme, 2 coats to be opaque
Bright magenta creme
A very happy and bright magenta creme, this totally reminds me of the flowers in a Hawaiian-print dress or something. An eye-catching bright pink that's not neon, but is a whole lot of fun.
Opacity scale (1-5): 3
Finish: Creme, 2-3 coats to be opaque
Lilac-based pink creme
Full-on Barbie/Bubblegum/girly pink. This one has a bit of a dusty lilac undertone to it. While it's not one I really see myself wearing, it does seem to glow o the nail! It was a bit of a pain in the butt to apply, my bottle seemed like the formula was pretty thick.
Opacity scale (1-5): 3
Finish: Creme, 2-3 coats to be opaque
Yellow-based orange creme
I <3 this color. Orange is one of my favorite colors, and while this one might be a bit sheer at first, it builds nicely. It has just the perfect touch of yellow to make it stand out from other oranges in my collection- I've already used this one a TON!
Opacity scale (1-5): 2
Finish: Creme, 2-3 coats to be opaque
Asparagus-green shimmer
This one is totally the perfect shade of a stalk of asparagus (if asparagus had shimmer). I have to say though, it seemed a little out of place in a collection of cremes. Don't get me wrong, it's a really pretty color, but I think I would've liked it better without the shimmer?
Opacity scale (1-5): 2
Finish: Shimmer, 3 coats to be opaque
Dusty aqua creme
This color was my favorite of the collection, and I couldn't capture it accurately to save my life, which is why I am also showing the insanely color-corrected version that makes my skin look jaundiced. :-P This has a dusty, vintage feel...it's as if aqua and jade had a baby.
Opacity scale (1-5): 2
Finish: Creme, 3 coats to be opaque
