Zoya Luscious collection hero

Fall is here! FINALLY! Sure, it's definitely not fall yet here in Las Vegas, but I hear the rest of the country is getting to enjoy the loveliness of my favorite season! Apple cider, cinnamon, chai lattes, pumpkins, I freaking love it all (except PSLs from Starbucks, I just don't get the hype over those...) Today I have swatches of the fall collection from Zoya nail polish for you. Read on for more info!

Gelish Matadora 2017 Collection Swatches

Press Sample

Matadora, Spanish inspired, Morgan Taylor, Gelish

Now that Summer has officially started, I am 100% ready for fall. Fall has always been my favorite season...I love the colors, the smells, and most of all, the temperature. We're positively melting here in Vegas–on Tuesday it was 118º, so it's no wonder that I am looking forward to fall! I'm not sure why I chose Las Vegas as my home, I've always hated the heat, and this place is B-R-U-T-A-L.

In hopes of speeding autumn my way, I have the Gelish Matadora collection for fall to show you today! This collection will be available in August, and you're definitely going to want to pick up this Spanish inspired color set! Hit the jump for swatches!

Jesse's Girl Satin Fall 2014 Swatches & Review

Cosmoprof 2014 - NUBAR

This year at Cosmoprof, I had the pleasure of meeting with Aimee of Nubar to hear about their current and upcoming collections, and I'm so excited to show you! I've been a Nubar fan for quite a few years now, one of my all-time favorite polishes is a Nubar polish- Nubar Milk Chocolate Creme! Now that I think about it, I have quite a few favorite polishes that were born in the Nubar factory! Their Sparkles collection, the Fortress collection, ahhh! So many! No to mention, my nail art brushes came from Nubar, and I am pretty sure I'd have a hard time living without them–I've been using them for close to 4 years!

First up are two collections that are available this summer, the Social Butterfly collection and the World Champions collection!

The Social Butterfly collection couples pale springy pastels with a handful of fun, bold, and bright accent colors!
The World Champions collection is a mix of all the colors needed to create the country flags for the teams that played in the World Cup! This would be excellent for the Olympics as well! All the colors in this collection are existing core colors. (Thumb courtesy of Krystal of www.PolishGalore.com :-P)

Next up is the Fall 2014 collection, FALLing in Love, which is available in August 2014! The colors in this collection all contain mica for a subtle shimmer that is sure to make you fall in love! (See what I did there?) Below I've shown my favorites of the collection: First Date (mustard with golden shimmer) and Sweet Hue (hot pink with golden shimmer). Aren't they gorgeous? I'm dying over First Date- I LOVVVVEE an ugly yellow polish (and I mean that in the BEST way possible!!). Click to see larger versions!

The FALLing in Love Collection gets its subtle shimmer from mica, which is in each color!
NUBAR First Date
NUBAR Sweet Hue
And last, but not least, other products coming up from Nubar are a Matte Gelicure topcoat, which will be out this fall, and a long-wearing gel-like lacquer topcoat called PoliCure, which is not UV-cured, and will be released at a later date.

What are you most excited about? Do you agree with my picks for the top colors in the FALLing in Love collection? Tell me in the comments below!

Throwback Thursday: Zoya Cashmere Swatches & Review

Don't you hate it when you're on your computer, looking through files, and you discover that you never posted those swatches that you did literally MONTHS ago? Awesome, right? I feel like a big ol' dummy. I looked at the date, and these photos were taken in August. Yeah, that month at the end of summer that was, hmmm, let's count...over 7 months ago. Really. The sad part? I LOVED this collection, so I'm not sure how I could have missed posting it!!

Anyway, better late than never right?

Falling For Fall

Well, August is swiftly approaching its end, and the warm days of summer will be long behind us (well, you) soon. The cool, crisp mornings of fall are on their way, and I have to say that I'm completely jealous of those of you lucky enough to enjoy it. Fall is my absolute favorite season, and since I moved to Vegas, and then India, I haven't really gotten to enjoy it. I miss the warm scent of burning leaves in the air, the tartness of warm apple cider on my tongue, and the crisp blue skies of autumn. I know it's a month or so away, but it's already on my mind, especially seeing all the fall nail collections coming out. Growing up in the woods in Michigan, there was no shortage of Autumn experience, from the greenery-lined gravel roads of summer becoming ablaze with the flame of fall leaves, all red and orange and yellow, to the chill that forced a sweater over your shivering shoulders at night. I loved it all, still do.

Today's nail art is to bring a little autumn to my humidity-filled existence. :)

I used:

White: American Apparel Cotton
Dark Brown: Barielle Unraveled Rust
Medium Brown: China Glaze Mahogany Magic
Burgundy: CND Bloodline
Mustard: Barielle Aura Angora
Camel: American Apparel Trenchcoat
Yellow: American Apparel Manila
Bright Orange: CND Electric Orange
Medium Orange: Jesse's Girl Beauty Guru
Red-Orange: American Apparel Lopez Canyon
Copper: China Glaze Harvest Moon
Metallic Gold: ORLY Solid Gold

What's your favorite season?
