Double Crossed

I was going through the apps on my iPhone earlier today looking for games to play to burn a few minutes of my day, and I stumbled upon a crossword app, and thought it might make a fun nail design. Mind you, I'm positively wretched at crossword puzzles. Give me Sudoku, Cryptograms, etc any day of the week, but crosswords? Never. I tried to incorporate some of my favorite brands of nail polish into the puzzle, but could only fit parts of some (I'm lookin' at you China Glaze).

I used Essie Bone Chilling White as a base, with American Apparel Hassid for the lines and filled in squares, and CND Anchor Blue for the pen/writing. Topped it all off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Now who knows how to fix sewing machines??!!?

  3. Great mani! I used to do the NY Times puzzle everyday with a group of coworkers.

I've purchased a few old sewing machines and refurbished them but that mostly consisted of cleaning and oiling them. I'm no expert. What's the problem?

  8. Might have to take your sewing machine to a sewing machine dealer to have it fixed. They can be tricky!

And to the New York Times Crossword Puzzle: I love you. And I hate you. I love you-I hate you-I love you- well, you get the drift.
(I think I need to know more about this Will Shortz fella...)
As for the fixing of sewing machines, if there is a Hancock Fabrics out there, they usually have someone who fixes machines in the store once a week. If not, find any fabric store and ask the staff- they almost certainly will know someone.
