I May Have Lost My Marble..s...

Hey all!! Quick nail today- lots to do today! Concert tonight, plus I had my makeup done by the lovely MA, Britta, from Pennsylvania, who was at the local MAC store for the unveiling of the latest and greatest MAC collection. (picture to follow at the end of the post)

I used American Apparel Cotton as a base, with American Apparel Peacock and China Glaze 2030 from Khrome Collection marbled, the 2030 didn't like to play well with Peacock, and instead of marbling, just got blotchy... oh well. Topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

  9. Aww Mom lol. That's cute. That's always how it goes. Everyone without hair like that really wants it. I would love it! You can always straighten it, though it sucks to do all the time. I can't really curl mine for anything.

I'm going to redo my nails today...any ideas? :D

  14. OK, as a fellow pale redhead, albeit cursed with freckles (you seem to have escaped them, lucky you-know-what!) I must know what colours were used on your eyes - it looks amazing and I might be able to carry it off!

  15. You used super bowl colors for this mani!!! Cool.
And our interest is piqued, what concert did you see?
Plus, OMG!!! I always wanted hair like yours! Mine, of course, is super ultra completely stick straight- so naturally I wanted curls. Thank you, Daily Nails Mom, for letting me know that I wasn't the only one! (My own Mom said the way she found me in the hospital nursery was by looking for the only carrot top!) (I wish it was STILL naturally red!)

And to 'The Queen'- please rejoice in your freckles! Freckles ROCK! Don't waste your time hatin'- embrace and revel in your wonderful freckles!!! They make you different from anyone else, and unique is SO good!!! Rock on with the freckle power, girl!

  16. Thanks everyone!!!

To answer a few questions: (even tho my mom answered the hair one... sort of)

The concert I went to was Badfish- a Sublime tribute band.

and yes, as my mom said my hair is naturally curly and red, though she partially misspoke. I had stick straight hair when I was a kid, so straight that it wouldn't even HOLD a curl. around 9th grade, it started the curly transition, and I've never looked back... luckily, I'm blessed with the silky kind of curly hair, not the coarse kind, so I can easily straighten my hair in about 5 minutes, and it looks naturally straight!! :-P The desire for black hair when I was a child stemmed from the fact that I HATED my freckles, mom always thought that my face was dirty and did the mom spit thing, only to discover that 'Oh, that's a freckle'. I thought that my freckles were linked to my red hair, and was sure they'd go away if I changed my hair color, thank goodness mom never let me :-P

And to The Queen- I am severely freckle-covered. lol anywhere that the sun sees gets freckles, my face doesn't, because I rarely (read, NEVER) go out without some sort of SPF on it. My driving arm is worst, there are millions. I'm hoping that one day they'll all connect, and I'll be REALLY REALLY tan. :-P

When I was getting my makeup done on Saturday, the MA next to me had the best tattoos on her arms, they were tiny stars, which were the color of her freckles!! GENIUS!!! I thought that was a really fun idea.

As for what makeup I'm wearing- Britta said she used the colors from the new Color 4 Palette, all gorgeous warm colors!! she also used the tan color from the Stacked 2! set. (which are also VERY lovely, and have an amazing finish) HTH! :)

  18. A friend just told me about Anthelios sunscreen- which, according to her is THE BEST. It's only been available in the US for a couple (?) of years- I guess. She's very pale, too. I haven't tried this yet, but just to pass on the info if anyone's interested: http://www.laroche-posay.us/_us/_en/consumer/catalog/anthelios.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=anthelios&cm_mmc=Google-_-Exact-_-Anthelios%20Exact-_-anthelios
