With a Flourish

Day 83

Hey all! Sorry today's post is on the late side, even though I'm not on vacation- got in late last night, so I am still on the wrong time schedule. Tomorrow's will be in the morning as it was before Christmas. :)

I used Diamond Cosmetics #326 Don't Teal My Heart Away as a base, with freehand flourishes painted in Diamond Cosmetics #319 Lemon Yellow Zest. I am really loving these polishes, they were really inexpensive, only $2.25 apiece, and the colors are great- the teal only took 2 coats to be completely opaque- it was pretty close to opaque with one coat! I love it! I totally recommend you check this brand out, I just recently discovered it on another nail blog, and ordered 6 colors. :)

Anyway, I'm going to go lie down, I feel like crap, caught the plague while I visited Michigan.

  4. I checked out Diamond Cosmetics. They are so cheap! Are they actually nice quality and a nice size bottle? If they're that good I will totally buy them. I already have a few colors in my cart, including a glow in the dark!!

  7. Do you think the Super Base would work? My nail polish chips on the first day. It's horrible. I have Opal Glitter, Chainmail Charm, Sweet As Sugar, and Glowworm Green in my cart.

  8. I bought Don't Teal My Heart Away, Chainmail Charm, Giddy, Sterling Silver, Lemon Yellow Zest, and Like Satin.

For a base, I recommend Seche Vite Ridge Filling Basecoat. I use it every day!!

  9. I'll have to look into Seche Vite then. I notice you also use that top coat. Does that work really well too? As of late you've been redoing your nails every day anyway, so I guess you'll have to go on past experience lol.

  10. Oh I see where you got Like Satin and Sterling Silver now. The closeouts! They're $1 guys, so take a look :P.

On the topic of cheap nail stuff, Forever 21 has great stuff. It's Forever21.com, and they also have some stores in malls and things. I bought a set of multicolored rhinestones and other things there for like 2.50.
