NARS 2018 Spring Color Collection Event!

Nothing to Disclose

New season, new colors, new you! Spring is springing (at least here in Vegas), and now is the time to refresh your makeup for the new season. I recently got to check out the new NARS Spring 2018 colors, and I walked away with some things I totally wouldn't have expected. Read on to find out what I chose!

Beautiful metallic neutrals, a cheeky flush, and 4 lip colors sure to add a pop of spring into anyone's look! I grabbed a few things from Spring collection: Liquid blush in Hot Tin Roof, Lip Cover in Hell Gate, and Velvet Shadow Stick in Galice; the new foundation in Mont Blanc - the perfect pale girl neutral  - HUZZAH!!; Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly, and Audacious lipstick in Anita-in the LE golden holiday packaging.

Wanna know the best way to apply the NARS Radiant Longwear foundation and Creamy Concealer? I'll give you a hint- you've had these tools your whole life! Give up? It's your hands! The warmth from your fingertips allows the foundation to sink into the skin rather than sit on top, which I found was happening when I used my beauty sponge with it originally. I don't even have to set it with a powder now - it's awesome!

About the Spring collection...

Now, I've never been one to shy away from bold lips, but bold cheeks are totally not in my comfort zone. Naturally, when I saw the new liquid blush, Hot Tin Roof, I immediately mentally rejected it. Beautiful, but SOOOO not for me. Boy, was I ever wrong–this blush, depending on how it's applied, can work on ANY skin tone! NARS and celebrity makeup artist, Saffire Cherry proved that when she applied it to my cheeks, as well as a couple other girls of varying skin tones, and it literally looked amazing on all of us. That's the FIRST thing I bought, haha! The crazy thing about this blush is that you need so little–a dot about the size of the head of a pin, and you use your finger tips to warm and blend it. So easy, and gives such a beautiful and natural flush. It's the only blush I've worn since the event! (and to think I almost passed it up!)

If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen that I love to wear the NARS Powermatte lip colors, so when I saw the new Lip Covers that are part of this collection, I definitely wanted to check them out. They ARE more springy colors, which I tend to shy away from when it comes to lips, but Hell Gate is a bitchin' brick red. Now, these Lip Covers are not a matte, they are a velvety satin finish, but they ARE full coverage, and contain Passionfruit Seed Oil and Vitamin E to moisture and protect the lips. Win/win, right?! Also in the collection are Embrasse Moi, a shimmering peachy pink; Summer Fire, a creamy mauve (shimmery); and Under Arrest, a peachy beige.

Need a quick and simple smokey eye? The Velvet Shadow Sticks in Galice, a pale pewter, and Frioul, a shimmering steel make quick work of beautiful eye makeup- and these do NOT budge once they set! I like that they're shimmery, but not glittery. I bought Galice, and it looks amazing by itself with a deep red lip!

Now, an event wouldn't really be an EVENT without drinks, and man were the drinks delicious! There were two signature drinks for the event–the Hell Gate 75, a concoction of pomegranate, fresh lemon, Absolut Elyx and Campo Viejo Sparkling Rose, and the one I personally loved, the Summer Fire Paloma, which was Avión Silver tequila, elderflower liqueur, fresh grapefruit and lime juices.

So yummy, and We were living for all the rose gold! #RoseGoldAlltheThings

Ready to place your drink order yet? I'll admit, just one had me a bit tipsy! :D

So what do you think? Are you planning on picking up anything from the new Spring collection? Though it's not from the Spring collection, I highly recommend the new Radiant Longwear foundation - I'm SO happy with it! Tell me your favorite NARS product in the comments below! (or your favorite drink! haha)

Disclosure: All above items were purchased by me at a pro discount. I have no willpower, and their makeup artist O'Nedra is VERY good at her job.😂😂😂
