Morgan Taylor Disney Villains nail polish collection.

Sometimes it just feels gooooood to be bad. As a HUGE Disney fan, I was SO excited when I saw this collection was coming out from Morgan Taylor. Sure, the Villains aren't usually who I root for, but I HAD to have this collection nonetheless. Read on to see my swatches and themed nail art to go along with each villain-inspired shade! (All nail art is also painted with Morgan Taylor polishes!)

Morgan Taylor Smoke the Competition - Disney Hades-inspired nail polish

Smoke the Competition

Medium grey creme

Hercules is honestly one of the only major Disney movies I still haven't seen, and maybe I should remedy that - who doesn't love a good god of the underworld? This great Hades-inspired shade was super pigmented, and SO easy to work with. As a lover of gray polishes, this one will get lots of use! I painted some blue flames inspired by Hades' 'hair'. For the nail art, I used Morgan Taylor West Coast Cool and Water Baby mixed to create the two shades.

Opacity scale (1-5): 4

Finish: Creme, 1-2 coats to be opaque

Morgan Taylor Make 'Em Squirm - Disney Ursula inspired nail polish

Make 'Em Squirm

Deep purple with purple and blue-greenish pearl

Oh, you poor unfortunate souls! This shade just might be worth  sacrificing your voice for, because you're certain to fall in love! It totally reminds me of a black pearl - especially in the bottle! For the tentacle nail art, I used Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress, Lace Em Up, All White Now, and Just me & My Piano.

Opacity scale (1-5): 3.5

Finish: Shimmer, 2 coats to be opaque

Morgan Taylor Fashion Above All - Disney Cruella de Vil inspired nail polish

Fashion Above All

Silver foil

Metallic and shiny, this silver foil will totally be a great holiday color, but it's not something we haven't seen before (even from MT). Doesn't really remind me of Cruella, but it's pretty. I would've loved a twist on white or black! For the Dalmatian nail art, I used Morgan Taylor All White Now and Little Black Dress.

Opacity scale (1-5): 4

Finish: Foil, 2 coats to be opaque

Morgan Taylor Just One Bite - Disney Evil Queen inspired nail polish

Just One Bite

Candy apple red metallic

Another great holiday shade that, while not terribly unique, is very pretty. It almost glows from within, and it's super pretty on the nail. Of course I had to do the poison apple for the nail art - I used Morgan Taylor Who Nose Rudolph, For for the Glow, All White Now, and Little Black Dress. I loved how this accent nail art turned out - it was tough to remove lol.

Opacity scale (1-5): 4

Finish: Metallic, 2 coats to be opaque

Morgan Taylor You're In My World Now - Disney Dr. Facilier inspired nail polish

You're in My World Now

Black base with pink and blue micro glitter and flakes of copper

Be careful, this one is sure to put a spell on you! The glitters seem to mix with the base and create a deep blackened burgundy shade that is a great fall shade! I especially love the hint of blue. For the nail art, I chose to paint the skull and crossbones from Dr. Facilier's hat, and I used Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress, Plum Tuckered Out, Prettier in Pink, and All White Now.

Opacity scale (1-5): 4

Finish: Sparkle, 1-2 coats to be opaque

Morgan Taylor Mistress of Mayhem - Disney Maleficent inspired nail polish

Mistress of Mayhem

Deep Forest green with green glitter

What a pretty shade! In fact, I'm still wearing it! haha. I'm glad they did Maleficent good with this one, because we've all seen what she'll do when she doesn't get her way! This one combines the glowing green fire of Maleficent with the evergreen of the forest, and it's oh so pretty! (this will be another great holiday shade, but it's also perfect for fall!) For the glowing flame nail art, I used Morgan Taylor Little Black Dress, Go For the Glow, and mixed as needed with West Coast Cool and All White Now.

Opacity scale (1-5): 2.5

Finish: Glitter, 2 coats to be opaque

OK, thoughts. While I love the Villains they chose, I can't help but miss classics like Jafar, Captain Hook, the Red Queen, even Scar! I would have loved to see shades inspired by them - maybe a part two for this collection?!?! PLEASE MORGAN TAYLOR?! Or MAYBE we could get the good guy counterparts to these villains?! What do you envision seeing for Hercules, Ariel, the Dalmations!, Snow White, Tiana, and Sleeping Beauty? What other villains would you want to see? Tell me in the comments below!
