Halloween is over, but I keep thinking back to the recent blogger get-together at a relatively new restaurant in downtown Las Vegas called 7th and Carson. Costume? Check. My girls? Check. Delicious brunch menu? Check. Hand-crafter cocktails? Check. Handsome chef? Double check. Read on to hear all about the amazing brunch menu at this cool new restaurant and about our skincare event sponsors!
Working downtown Las Vegas, I always like learning about new and delicious restaurants that pop up in the area. I mean, a girl has to keep her options open, right?
We started on the back patio with some colorful (and spicy!) watermelon cocktails that contained watermelon juice and spicy tequila, with a chili topped garnish of watermelon. Since God hates me and made me a diabetic, the bartender was gracious enough to concoct a special sugar-free cocktail for me, and it was SO. GOOD. She named it the 'Emerald City', and it contained basil, cucumber, soda water, and Hendricks gin. It was so refreshing and green, and I liked it so much that I had a second! :)
Once all the ladies arrived, we headed inside for some amazing brunch bites directly from the open kitchen of Chef Gregg Fortunato.
We started off with the Yogurt Parfait, which was a delicious mixture of raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries, toasted granola, and local honey with a side of cream. Such a fresh start to the brunch!
Next up? The Breakfast Pizzetta! A thin crust topped with Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Mozzarella and a cream sauce baked to perfection in a brick oven... I could have eaten the entire thing by myself!
Brioche French Toast? Just when I thought the brunch couldn't get tastier, I was wrong - this delectable French toast was topped with peaches, whipped butter, and lavender syrup. *SWOON*
What's brunch without Avocado toast these days? Well &th and Carson puts their own twist on this new classic with sourdough bread and a 63° egg.
Another classic....the Chicken + Waffles! These waffles were beyond words. sweet without syrup, and only made better by the sweet tartness of the green apples, and complemented further by the bourbon syrup. Add on those hand-breaded chicken wings? Sold. :D
Last but not least, the Grilled Peach + Burrata salad. OMG heaven, peppery arugula with grilled peaches, burrata cheese atop pesto, and black pepper honey to set it all off. I seriously could have eaten an entire bowl of that burrata and pesto alone. *drool*
The food wasn't the only awesome part... there were some awesome beauty products to try as well - a sheet mask from Pur~lisse, a beauty oil from Pistache skincare, some Valley of the Dolls inspired lashes from Red Cherry lashes, and some super cute sour gummies from Sugarpova! Keep an eye out on Instagram for more information on these fun products when I try them out!
I thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING at this brunch–the food, the company, the costumes, the location, everything! I actually went back here for lunch with some coworkers a few days later to try out their lunch menu, and that was awesome, too! This will definitely be a mainstay.
