Hey all!!! Today's mani is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds'. :-D For the accent nail I did the iconic Hitchcock profile graphic. :-)

A better view of the profile:

I used American Apparel Cotton as a base on all the bird nails, and American Apparel Hassid for the Hitchcock nail, as well as the birds.
I seriously can't get the Hitchcock intro music out of my head.
I LOVE the Hitchcock profile!
ReplyDeleteYay! Alfred Hitchcock nails!
ReplyDeleteSpooky, spartan and swell.
wow this was really nicely done!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I love that movie LOL!

ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! And it's so simple I might be able to do it myself, which is always a plus ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're cracking me up with that new black polish. I can see a lot of nails with black in them coming soon. You're doing a good job of advertising it and I think I'm going to have to go buy myself some now.

Ok these might be my favorite thus far...they look so chic --maybe its the color combo.
ReplyDeleteP.S. You are are LOVING that Hassid to the max. Maybe you can do that weirdo happy face from Watchmen on your nails? lol

ReplyDeleteKasey- I am SOOO loving Hassid. I think of other designs to do, but then go back to an idea that involves Hassid. I think I'm hooked.
ReplyDeleteOMG You should do Saint Patrick's themed nails for Wednesday! Something inspired from 4 leaf clovers, leprechauns or pots of gold and plenty of green!

You really are an artist. This design's one of my favourites of yours!
ReplyDeleteI really really love these:) Infact I want to do it myself! How did you make the birds? with a skewer? or just with the nail brush itself?
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm from Brazil and I just want to tell you that you're becoming famous right here! Your Nails are just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteawww misschievous totally copied this look :/
ReplyDeletelove the look. and misschievous did copy this completely. makes me like her less, but like you more!
ReplyDeleteWhen I commented on Misschievous's video about how she didn't actually design the look she deleted my comment. If I were you, I would be mad that she is pretty much claiming the look as her own.
ReplyDeleteTo everyone who says MissChievous (Julia) copied off her Daily Nail's design:
ReplyDeleteIf you READ the description box below the video (which I highly doubt), you would see that she gives the Daily Nail credit for the nail look. She has had that disclaimer on that video since it was uploaded on June 03, 2010. She's also had that disclaimer on her blog post (dated June 03, 2010) since she uploaded that video. She did this nail look she was inspired to recreate it and some people learn by watching videos.
She NEVER said that she came up with this design. She always gives credit when needed; she hates art theft as much as any artist does.
Before you comment that someone else stole another person's idea/art/literature/words/etc/ , check the blog post/video/website post/author's comments/bibliography/etc BEFORE telling the original creator and accusing the "recreator" (for lack of a better term) of theft. In other words: read before you make an accusation (i.e. place blame of someone else). It's that easy.
Hello, i think that this is a great post because has useful information.
ReplyDeletewow!! i have no words to descride how awesome this is
