Rules are that I have to divulge 7 things about me, and tag a few bloggers at the end....Here goes.

1. I live off of Taco Bell, Wendy's, In n Out, and pizza.

2. I paint my nails EVERY SINGLE DAY- obviously. ;)

3. I am an artist for a large Slot Machine/Gaming company in Las Vegas, NV

4. I am allergic to a lot of things, including (but not limited to): Cats, dogs, mold, grass, dust, olive trees, and weeds. I take three allergy prescriptions (oral, eye drops, and nasal) to combat these allergies.

5. I am a MAC junkie (both computers and makeup) I have over 75 FS pigments and 5 15-pan palettes filled, and then some, and I have 3 iPods, including my phone, and I also have my trusty laptop. :)

6. I enjoy odd non-breakfast foods for breakfast, for instance, this morning I had Oreos with milk. Other mornings include pasta, pizza, steak burritos, and Cheetos.

7. I am the only pale redhead in my family. My sister and parents all have brown hair and olive complexions.

Hot Rod nails!

Day 24

Today I felt fiery, so I decided to do flame nails... plus I bought OPI for Sephora's What's a Tire Jack? Matte, so I had to try it out! The flames on black matte reminds me of classic hot rods, love it.

I used OPI Banana Bandana as a base, then used the water marbling technique with Zoya Pippa, China Glaze Salsa, and Urban Vibe nail polish in Orange, which I got for 50¢ at Wet Seal. After the water marbling dried, I painted on the red flame outlines with China Glaze Salsa, and the filled in background of the flames with OPI for Sephora What's a Tire Jack? Matte, which is a VERY nice true black matte.

It chipped a little because I've been using my nails this morning to pull protective layers off of plexiglass getting ready for the International Gaming Convention here in Las Vegas... (G2E)

Day 23

Today's nails didn't turn out quite like I'd hoped, the texture was VERY noticeable right after I did them, but now it is really subtle. I tried to do a snakeskin effect by placing tulle over the nail and pressing it in when the polish wasn't completely dry, but it didn't quite turn out very well. Nevertheless... here you are.



I used Zoya Pasha as a base, which is gorgeous, I love the frostiness of it, it looks so luxe when it's on. I layered a wide stripe of Zoya Charlize with a thinner stripe of OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede on top. I waited a bit for it to dry, then I pressed the tulle into it and pulled it off carefully.

Day 22

Today's nails are really subtle, they sort of employ a technique used in Print design called Spot Varnish. I used a gloss color over a matte in the same color so that the design was very subtle and you have to look to see it! :) Sorry about the cuticles, the dry air and nail polish remover are killing them, and I load up on cuticle cream! Also- the middle finger has a lumpy spot- I broke my nail, patched it, but didn't realize I hadn't filed it down until after I started painting.. oh well. :)



I used Zoya Posh Matte Velvet as a base, and Zoya Dakota with Konad Plate m63 for the designs.

It sort of brings the 'Matte Velvet' to a whole new level- it looks like rippled pieces of velvet!

The reason today's design is so simple:

Day 21

Today's nails are kind of a joke between my friend and I... he HATES knuckle tattoos, and thinks they're usually dumb. <---This is coming from a man who has lots of ink on his flesh. :-P SOOOOO, I decided to do this one for him. :-P i was pretty surprised the right hand "HARD" lettering turned out as well as it did, since I'm SOOOO not ambidextrous.





I used Zoya Gretchen as a base, with Zoya Charlize to pale it down a bit. I used Zoya Raven for the line work, with Zoya Dakota mixed with Zoya Raven for the red in the letters. The clover was filled in with a mix of Zoya Raven and OPI Green-wich Village, and the horseshoe was filled in with China Glaze Millennium

Day 20

Todays post is a quickie- I had to do them this morning instead of last night... apparently last week and the weekend's event s finally caught up with me, because I fell asleep on the couch at 7:30 without doing my nails...GASP!



I used OPI Russian Navy matte which pretty much looks like black matte when it dries, same as Lincoln Park after dark. I'm kinda bummed. In the bottle its gorgeous. The gold design is China Glaze 2030 from Khrome Collection I can't say enough about how beautiful these 'Khromes' are. one coat and they are perfect- great for Konad... I used Konad Plate m70 for the design.

Dia de Los Muertos Sugar Skulls!

Day 19

Happy November everyone! To celebrate Dia de los Muertos, I did sugar skulls on my nails....



I used China Glaze White on White as a base, with Sally Hansen Nail Art pen in Black for the line work, Zoya Pippa for the yellow, OPI La Paz-itively Hot Matte for the hot pink with Zoya UltraGlitter in Astra over top of it for sparkle. The turquoise is China Glaze Shower Together, the purple is Hot Topic Purple Iridescent Glitter Polish and the green is OPI Green-wich Village. Phew, I think thats all of it. Im sure there's more that Im missing.
