Welcome to my Fragrance Wardrobe!

Nothing to Disclose

I've got a bit of a fragrance problem. I don't tend to stick to one fragrance–I have a 'fragrance wardrobe' that I can pull from so I can always wear a scent that fits my mood for the day. Still, there are definitely some favorites that get more wear than others, and that's what I'm sharing with you today!

I should mention that I don't tend to tend to wear typical 'girl' scents. I stay away from gourmand scents with sugar, vanilla, or chocolate notes. Aquatic scents aren't really my style either- they tend to smell far too sweet on my skin. What do I like? WOOD. I loooove deep, masculine woody scents, and anything with oud is sure to be a quick favorite for me! (as you'll see below) I also don't like wearing what everyone else is wearing - if someone else in the room is wearing it, I tend to shy away from it. Sure, there are exceptions, but for the most part, I could be considered a slight scent snob.

What are your favorite scents? Read below to find out about a few of mine!

Byredo Oud Immortel

This is my second bottle of this amazing fragrance, and every single time I wear it I get compliments. There’s just something so dark and sultry, but not overly feminine about it that I love. The packaging on this brand is ace, too. So simple and sleek with a magnetic cap - I LOVE it.

Perris Oud Imperial Black

Bought at Bergdorf’s on my very first trip to NYC two Thanksgivings ago, this is one that I don’t wear as often because it’s SUPER INTENSE. I tend to like very masculine, almost incense-y fragrances, and this definitely fits that category. I made it 15 whole feet into the store before dropping about $200 on this one. lol I have a problem.

Tom Ford Oud Wood

I LOVE this one, and I bit the bullet and bought it after wanting it for ages. I love the presence of the woodiness in this one, while the oud is a bit of a softer oud. An awesome fragrance that I tend to wear for days or weeks at a time.

Tokyo Milk Bulletproof

This is a nice inexpensive fragrance - only $42 for an Eau de Parfum! Super smoky and woody, with the slightest hint of coconut. Sounds weird, but it’s lovely. A great cheap alternative to some of my other fragrance addictions.

Raw Spirit Wild Fire

I was first introduced to this one at Cosmoprof North Americaa couple years ago, and it was love at first sniff. Not only did I absolutely love the scent (it’s inspired by the heat of summer in the Australian Outback), the social responsibility of this company is awesome - they seek out opportunities to give back to the indigenous people and areas that inspired them! This one is woodsy with the hint of florals like jasmine and ylang ylang, but the amber is the cherry on this fragrance sundae.

Jo Malone Basil & Neroli

I’ll be the first to admit that I rarely, almost NEVER like a floral fragrance for me. This one surprised me. I love the clean white flower scent of the neroli and the greenness of the basil. This is one of my fragrances I tend to wear more in the summer, or on laid back days because it’s so light and fresh.

Byredo Accord Oud

Surprise! Another oud - sensing a pattern? This scent has notes of leather and wood, with that lovely overlay of incense-y oud-y goodness. This one is a bit more masculine than Oud Immortel, but I’d still say it sits firmly in the unisex family.

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino

This one sat in my brain for ages. I spritzed my wrist one day at Neimans and kept sniffing the entire night. I couldn’t get it out of my head - it’s such a beautiful and clean floral/citrus scent- just imagine yourself diving into the Mediterranean! Another amazing spring/summer fragrance.

Funny story, this bottle was a slightly tipsy purchase during a Sephora VIB 20% sale. I mean, I definitely wanted it, but it was almost $250 at the time, and I was poor. lol I guess alcohol lowers inhibitions, who knew?!

What other fragrances are on my radar?

Byredo Super Cedar has been on my wishlist for a while, I would love to own most of the Tom Ford fragrances, and the sample of Rouge Bunny Rouge Tundra that I got with my latest order is getting a ton of wear time these days.

What fragrances are you rocking lately? What’s your tried and true signature scent? It’s obvious that ouds are a favorite for me, and I tend to wear more woodsy and masculine fragrances. Do you like gourmands? Aquatics? Florals? Tell me in the comments! (I always love hearing about new scents I NEED! lol)
