So Outta Shape, I'd Settle for Half-Toned!

Happy Monday, people!! (Ok, Mondays pretty much suck, but I'm trying to be positive, lol) Today's design was inspired by my career, and what I went to school for. One of my favorite things in college was learning about different printing techniques, styles, etc. I decided to try to do a halftone on the nails, I couldn't get the rosette quite right, but I'm overall pretty happy with the effect. If my professors could see me now.... :-P lol

I used Sally Hansen All the White Stuff as a base, with Essie Foot Loose, American Apparel Manila, American Apparel Peacock, and American Apparel Hassid applied with Konad Plate m60. Topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Sorry for the state of my cuticles, I've been slacking on the Lemony Flutter application. *sigh* :-P

BTW, thank you to all the well-wishers that posted hoping that I'd stop hurting! :) I have the best readers!!!

  8. This is amazing. Anyway, don't worry a bit about your cuticles. I frequent your site because of your artistic skills. I could never do anything like that on my nails which I bite. Your cuticles are like a queen's compared to mine. Also, I'd love to see a pedicure sometime.

Hehe, sorry for making your website my URL, but I post it all over my Gmail account, so that website is listed as a connected site.

  10. DANG! How long did it take you to do these? And if that expensive education led to THIS... sooooo worth the investment. Your professors SHOULD be proud! :) Great design!

  12. Okay, friend! Let me just say... totally cool. Since, however, I am such a deep thinker, is it possible that there is an actual reproduced image when you line up all of your nails? Did you get the proper rotation degrees of C,M,Y, and K? It is my hope that all four are in proper registration. (Just dreaming a little with you)! ; )

  15. I love these nails! They are so cool/cute!
I recently bought a Konad stamping kit and I love it!
I was wondering if you had tried to use nail polish other than Konad polish on the plate. When I bought mine I was told only to use Konad polish, but some polishes are cheaper.
I love your blog a lot!!

  16. Anonymous: re Konad polishes. I just started Konading, and I found that Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes work pretty well for stamping. Any polish that is thicker consitency should work ok. I found a super cheapo silver polish (Bon-bons at Walmart) that works great. Trial and error, I guess!
